How does our Padel Racket Finder work?
Choosing the right padel racket is more than a brand name or pretty design. Weight, blade shape, balance and surface together determine whether a racket fits your game — and whether you enjoy it or get arm pain after an hour.
Which factors do we consider?
- Level: beginners benefit more from a forgiving racket with a large sweet spot, while advanced players want to choose on spin and power.
- Play style: defensive players benefit from control and maneuverability; offensive players from power and spin.
- Blade shape: round = control, teardrop = all-round, diamond = power.
- Surface: rough surfaces (3D, 12K/18K carbon) generate more spin; smooth fibreglass surfaces are more comfortable.
- Weight and balance: lower weight + low balance = control, higher weight + high balance = power.
- Comfort: for injuries like tennis elbow, we weight comfort and damping more heavily.
How is the match score calculated?
For every racket we calculate 6 performance scores: power, control, comfort, spin, forgiveness and maneuverability. These are derived from official manufacturer spec data. Then we compare your ideal profile to each racket and weight the dimensions you find important more heavily. The result is a match percentage from 0 to 100 — the higher, the better the racket fits your answers.
100% independent
We're not tied to a brand. Our recommendations are based purely on the match with your profile — not on which shop pays us the most. We do earn a small commission if you buy through our link; this helps keep the site free without affecting your price or our advice.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Racket Finder really free?
Yes. No account, no payment, no email gating. We earn a small affiliate commission if you buy through our links — that does not change the price you pay or the racket we recommend.
How accurate are the recommendations?
We score each racket on 6 performance dimensions (power, control, comfort, spin, tolerance, manoeuvrability) derived from official manufacturer specs. The match percentage shows how closely a racket fits the ideal profile we built from your answers.
What if I have a tennis elbow or wrist injury?
There is a question for that. If you flag an injury, comfort is weighted more heavily and the engine prefers softer, more forgiving rackets.
Can I trust the prices?
Prices are scraped from each partner shop and refreshed daily. Each shop link goes directly to the product page — you can verify the price before checkout.
Why aren't all rackets shown?
We rank by match percentage and apply brand diversity (max 2 rackets per brand in the top 5) so you don't get five Head rackets in a row when other brands also score well.
Can I redo the quiz with different answers?
Yes — at the bottom of the results page there's a 'Restart' link that clears your answers.
