5. Third-Party Services
We use the following categories of third-party services that may process your personal data:
5.1 Analytics Providers
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — website traffic analysis and usage statistics. We use IP anonymisation and have a data processing agreement in place. Google may transfer data to the United States under appropriate safeguards (see Section 7). The tag runs in Google Consent Mode v2: before you make a choice, and if you decline, the analytics_storage and advertising signals are set to denied, so no analytics or advertising cookie is set. Only after you consent do these switch to granted.
- Our own measurement — see Section 5.1a. It runs without cookies and without any third party.
5.1a Our Own, Cookieless Measurement
We operate our own basic traffic measurement. It is designed so that it does not process personal data, and it does not involve any third party:
- No cookies and no persistent identifiers. We do not set cookies for measurement, do not store identifiers in local storage, and do not fingerprint your device or browser.
- A session key that dies with your tab. We generate a random value that lives in your browser's session storage. It is deleted the moment you close the tab and is never linked to any other visit.
- Your IP address is never stored. It is combined with a secret and a salt that changes every night, converted into an irreversible hash, and then discarded. Because the salt rotates daily, the resulting value cannot be used to recognise you on another day, and it cannot be turned back into your IP address.
- No full referrer. We keep only the website name you arrived from (for example google.com), never the full address, so search terms and links containing personal information are never stored.
- Country level only. We record the country of a visit, never a more precise location.
- Do Not Track is respected. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, nothing at all is measured.
What we do record: which page was viewed, how long it was open, roughly which device category was used, which channel the visit came from, and whether a link to a partner shop was clicked. These are counts, not profiles, and we do not combine them with any other data to identify you.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding how our Website is used. Because no personal data is processed and no information is stored on or read from your device beyond a tab-lifetime session key that is strictly necessary to count a visit only once, this measurement does not require consent under Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act.
5.2 Affiliate Networks and Partner Shops
The Awin Mastertag is loaded only after you have consented to affiliate tracking. If you decline it, the tag is never requested and the links to Partner Shops keep working normally.
When you click on a product link and are redirected to a Partner Shop, the Partner Shop and/or affiliate network may set their own cookies and collect data according to their own privacy policies. That happens on their website, under their control, and we encourage you to review the privacy policy of any Partner Shop you visit.
5.3 Hosting and Infrastructure
- Our Website is hosted by professional hosting providers within the European Economic Area (EEA). These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements that ensure GDPR compliance.
5.4 Content Delivery and Security
- We may use content delivery networks (CDNs) and security services to ensure fast page loading and protect against malicious traffic.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law.
